Great Southern BioBlitz and Tarkind come together for #GSB25 at Magical Farm: Bioblitz + Art + Planting
When: Sunday, 26 October 2025, 10:00am–2:30pm
Meet point: Magical Farm, and then we will walk to the Allens Rivulet Track. We’ll Bioblitz along the track and adjacent habitats, then carpool two minutes to Magical Farm for lunch, art, and a short Landcare planting.


Hosted by: Magical Farm in collaboration with the Great Southern BioBlitz and Magical Farm Landcare Group.

Schedule

  • 10:00–12:00 Bioblitz on Allens Rivulet Track (with the iNaturalist app)

  • 12:00–1:00 Shared lunch at Magical Farm (vegetarian, GF-friendly—bring a plate)

  • 1:00–2:00 Tarkind community art hour (BYO art canvas — large or small, as you like — and paints)

  • 2:00–2:30 Landcare planting at the farm (tubestock, tools, guidance provided)

What to bring: Phone with iNaturalist, sturdy shoes, warm layers, water, a lunch plate to share, an art canvas and paint brush (large or small, as you like) and (we provide Paints); garden gloves optional (spares on site).
Safety: Children supervised; no pets.
RSVP/Questions: Message Emily for farm address/parking after the walk.
Wet weather: Light rain = we walk; heavy rain = meet at Magical Farm for indoor ID + art; planting postponed.
